To our family, friends, and supporters,
After saying yes to God’s patient and persistent calling, we are blessed to share our very first progress report for the planting of Rising Tide Church in central Brunswick County.
A Journey Rooted in Faith and Community
This exciting chapter follows our official announcement to our church family at Crosswinds Church regarding where God is leading us. The overwhelming encouragement, prayers, and support from everyone have been deeply moving and a constant reminder that God’s hand is in every step of this journey.
If you missed the announcement or would like to reflect on the beginning of this chapter, you can watch the video from Crosswinds Church. We are endlessly grateful for the mentorship and blessing of Pastor Chris and the entire Crosswinds family as we step out in faith.

Recent Steps of Progress
God has moved remarkably fast to surround this vision with dedicated leadership and a strong foundation:
- Core Group & Leadership: Several families felt a matching calling and stepped forward to link arms with us. We are blessed to have our core leadership team in place, including our treasurer, secretary, and our first deacon, and we recently held our very first board meeting!
- Public Presence: To generate broader awareness, community support, and connection, we are officially launching our website and social media channels this week.
How You Can Partner With Us in Prayer
As we press forward, we ask that you join us in lifting up the following specific needs:
- Continued Momentum: Pray that God continues to open doors, guide our steps, and build a community hungry for His Word in central Brunswick County.
- 501(c)(3) Approval: Pray for a smooth and timely process as we finalize our official nonprofit status.
- A Gathering Place: We are stepping out in bold faith and praying specifically for a permanent building or meeting space to be provided in God’s perfect timing.
We plan to share regular updates across all our platforms so you can stay informed and continue praying alongside us. Thank you for your continued love, generosity, and partnership in bringing the Gospel to Brunswick County.
With deep gratitude and hope,
Michael and Sarah Oxford
